INEC Declares PDP’s Fintiri Winner
The supplementary governor’s election in Adamawa State was won by Ahmadu Fintiri, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Professor Mohammed Mele, the state’s returning officer, the current governor of the state, Fintiri, received 430,861 votes, beating over Aisha Binani, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 396,788.

As INEC Declares PDP’s Fintiri Winner, recall Aisha of the APC was declared the victor of the supplemental poll on Saturday by embattled Resident Electoral Commissioner Hudu Yunusa Ari, who ordered INEC to halt collation for the supplementary governorship election in Adamawa on Sunday.
The Electoral Act’s rules were broken by Ari’s declaration.
