During the medical examination carried out by Ikorodu General Hospital employees at the Ikorodu Town Hall in Lagos, Mrs. Sanwo-Olu made the contact.
Residents who qualify for free medical exams are checked for diabetes, hypertension, lab tests, eyewear distribution, and referrals to general hospitals for surgical procedures.
She thanked the residents of Ikorodu for their participation in the presidential election and urged them to turn out in large numbers for the governorship vote in order to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) nominees and gain additional democratic benefits.

“Today, I came here to thank the people of Ikorodu for their overwhelming support and votes during the presidential election.
“I want you to do the same during this governorship election, and this time it must be 100 per cent vote for Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat, including all the Assembly candidates of APC,” said Mrs. Sanwo-olu.
Also speaking, Ademuyiwa Eniayewun, permanent secretary, Health Service Commission, said the medical outreach was designed to help people with medical challenges who could not afford the money.
Also, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, thanked the governor and the initiator of the health programme and called on residents to support and vote for APC during the governorship election for continuity and more dividends of democracy.
The traditional ruler, represented by Adewale Elesho, former Lagos State commissioner for Information, appealed for consistency of the programme so that more people would benefit in Ikorodu.
Ademuyiwa Eniayewun, general secretary, Health Service Commission, also spoke, noting that the goal of the medical outreach was to assist those with medical needs who lacked the financial means.
The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, also thanked the governor and the person who started the health program and urged the locals to support and vote for APC in the governorship race in order to maintain the status quo and reap additional democratic benefits.
Adewale Elesho, a former commissioner for information for the state of Lagos, spoke on behalf of the traditional ruler, who pleaded for the program to continue so that more Ikorodu residents could profit.
