MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is undertaken at one of the Partner institutions University of Edinburgh with the mission to create, disseminate, and curate of knowledge.

Importantly, candidates must qualify academically for admission to the University of Edinburgh.

Preferably, applicants should apply to this scholarship BEFORE applying to the University.

The scholarship is only available for postgraduate students as intake for undergraduate is no longer available. Find out requirements postgraduate requirements here

Candidates must be resident and citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country.

Applications from Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe are particularly welcome.

Candidates must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service within their community

Finally, candidates must be able to present economically disadvantaged circumstances and be able to show lack of financial means from family or other sources to pursue post-secondary (university) education in home country or elsewhere.

Application for the 2022 MasterCard Foundation programme are processed online

Application for postgraduate degrees only, will open on 31st January 2022 at 10am UK time and will close on 14th March at 4pm UK time.

COMMONWEALTH SHARED SCHOLARSHIPS 2022

These scholarships are offered in partnership with select UK universities.

Furthermore, these scholarships are for candidates from least developed and lower middle income Commonwealth countries

Candidates can only undertake full-time Master’s study on selected courses at a UK university.

COMMONWEALTH MASTERS, PHD, SPLIT-SITE, MEDICAL FELLOWSHIPS

To apply for these scholarships, prospective Scholars must:

Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person

Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country

Be registered for a PhD at a university in an eligible Commonwealth country by the time your scholarship starts (September 2022)

Ensure that an institutional or departmental link exists between your home university and your proposed UK university. This link must be greater than simply a collaboration between individuals – see section on ‘Tenure and placement’ for further details. Both supervisors must provide a supporting statement which provides further details of the link to ensure your application is eligible.

Be available to start your academic studies in the UK in September 2022

By September 2022, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)

Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship

PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT TRUST FUND SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is funded by the government of the federal republic of Nigeria through the overseas postgraduate scholarship scheme.

The scholarship is tenable in countries like United kingdom, Germany, France and Malaysia.

The scholarship is targeted at master’s and PhD students.
