Tension In Tinubu, Osibanjo, Amaechi Camp As APC Consider Lawan As Consensus candidate To Rival Atiku

There’s brewing tension in Tinubu, Osibanjo, Amaechi Camps as the APC Consider Lawan As Consensus candidate to match Atiku’s popularity in the North.

Their decision is due to the fact that they would like to retain power beyond 2023 and are looking for a Northern candidate who can rival Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the North after his emergence as the PDP Presidential candidate.

Several trusted media outlets have reported that the APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu has adopted Ahmed Lawan is APC’s consensus candidate.

However, frontline presidential aspirants in the party like former Lagos state governor,  Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and Former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi did not welcome this decision.

For the Tinubu campaign organisation, it is the turn of Tinubu to become president as it has been his lifelong ambition and having made people like Buhari and Osibanjo to become president and vice president respectively, he believes that it’s truly his turn to become the next president.

On the hand, Osibanjo is rumoured to be the anointed candidate that Buhari wants to present ad the consensus candidate. For Osibanjo, his administration with Buhari performed very and he would like to continue on the legacies of Buhari. He also believes that his loyalty to Buhari would fetch him the number one seat.

While, Rotimi Amaechi who happens to be the former governor of Rivers State believe that he invested so much in the election that brought president Buhari to power. He also believes that he is the trusted one of the north and his loyalty to Buhari should fetch him the presidential ticket.
